I think it is always difficult to talk about yourself and I don't think that I am very good at it. I am a pretty simple girl and feel that I have experienced a lot of life for my young age of 24. I have been married, had a baby, and endured a divorce. There were many different things in between these times that helped me grow as a woman and become who I am today. I am currently a single mom who works full-time at home and full-time in a salon that I love. Oh, and I am going to school full-time! It's a lot to handle but I know that I am blessed to have a wonderful son, a career, and a be pursuing an education.

I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for 4 years but have been in the industry for 6. I am continually seeking to expand my knowledge and develop my skills. I love hair, I love makeup, and I mostly love making people feel good about who they are. I work at a great salon and enjoy going to work. I am attending a makeup artistry school in August and hope to grow as a makeup artist. I would love to do makeup for women on their wedding day or teach women how to use makeup to enhance their natural beauty. I hope to always have the feeling that I need to grow in my career and never want to be done learning.

When I'm not doing hair I enjoy crafting and love hanging out with friends. I am active in my church and love spending time with my family. I wear many hats but the most important thing I do is raise my sweet boy!  I love decorating my home and enjoy working out when I get the chance. I am a passionate person and very fun-loving.

I started this blog to help inspire women. When I was growing up I was extremely insecure. I don't know where my insecurity stemmed from because I grew up in a loving home with parents who told me how beautiful and wonderful I was. I simply wasn't comfortable with who I was and because of this I found myself in a relationship that wasn't healthy and it has taken me years to fully recover from it. I have since come to understand my worth and hope to inspire women to understand theirs. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that their is a purpose to the trials that we endure. I hope to education and help women feel good about who they are so they don't end up in the same place I found myself. For me, I feel the best when I am looking my best or do something that gives me satisfaction. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that "beauty is a light within the heart". When we feel good on the inside we look good on the outside. We can allow our beauty to radiate in all things we pursue and be a light for other women.
